Encarta Dictionaries

Please Sir, is it 'acording' or 'according'?

In our Encarta Concise English dictionary it's both. Of course 'according' is there, but we also see 'acording' with a note telling the reader that it's an incorrect spelling of 'according'. Simple, and very helpful. If you don't know how to spell a word how would you find it in a traditional dictionary?

Another feature we like is the little pictures here and there. For example, with the definition of 'fossil' there's a small picture of a trilobite.

Finally, it is very reasonably priced. Ours is bigger than a Harry Potter hardback and about the same price. There are much smaller ones at Amazon too, which is probably a good thing as pupils under about twelve years old cannot readily lift the big one.
